Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania (meaning Long Live Humpty) is an Indian romantic comedy film set in Delhi. The film features Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt and Siddharth Malhotra. It was released on 9th July 2014. It received positive reviews from critics and did well at the box office. The film also did well internationally because it is among the few Indian movies to do so in recent times.Varun Dhawan has given his best performance to date with this movie, according to critics and fans alike, while Alia Bhatt's character of Shasha has been lauded for her acting skills despite being new to acting at the time of the movie's release.. The movie received positive reviews with praise for the performance of the lead actors, who also star in two upcoming films - 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' and 'Main Tera Hero'. After facing troubles with his pregnant girlfriend Meera (Meera Syal), Humpty Sharma (Varun Dhawan) gets an opportunity to go abroad for a year. During his trip he meets Meera's sister, Tejasswi (Alia Bhatt), whom he falls in love with. However, she is engaged to his childhood friend, Harsh Malhotra (Siddharth Malhotra). After spending a year in London, Humpty returns to Mumbai and begins his preparations to get married. On the day of the wedding, he finds out that Meera is not pregnant and after finding out Meera was only pretending to be pregnant, he and Meera get married and later Harsh Malhotra finds out that Tejasswi is not engaged. Humpty then becomes a widower. In contrast to his expectations, when he gets home from the ceremony, his mother (Meenal Chopra) makes him feel unwelcome by getting Harsh to create a rift between their families. Harsh, looking to make it up to Tejasswi, agrees to marry her. However moments before the wedding, Tejasswi realises she is still in love with Humpty and goes on to meet him on his bicycle. She gets knocked down on her way and taken to the hospital. Meanwhile, Harsh sees her leaving on Humpty's bike and gets absolutely heartbroken. When Humpty finds out that Tejasswi has been injured he rushes to the hospital but will he be able to win her back? A new problem arises between him and Meera - who still loves him despite everything - when he sees Meera standing in front of her house with a gun in hand. He stops her just in time. She tells him that she is pregnant but Humpty says that the child would be his brother or sister. He asks her to leave him alone. Meera leaves the gun with him and Humpty realises that she was about to kill herself so he urges her to leave his house, saying they are finished. The movie ends with Harsh Malhotra marrying Tejasswi, who later gives birth to a baby girl, named Shasha in memory of her mother.The music is composed by Sachin-Jigar while lyrics are penned by Priya Panchal and Kumaar. cfa1e77820
